Happy 1st of March guys, I have loved over the knee boot or boots way before the trend came back last year. Currently its all about the distressed denim styled boots, which I am yet to warm up to. There is just something so messy and busy with them that I founds rather unappealing. Personally, the sock styles or other classic plain patterns are still my front runners. Shoes complete the outfit, I love shoes in generally but also adore a good pair of boot, long or short.
The over the knee boots are no longer something to be worn for preventing cold alone. They can now be also worn all year round, thanks to our favourite celebs like Rihanna, Gigi, the Kardashians. I wear an Over the knee boot as a causal day to day outfit as well as for a night look. Paired with a dress, skirt, trouser or simply any outfit of your choice, the options with them are limitless.
A nice pair of slim fitted jean like the once I have on or a nice flowery dress would be my ideal way to wear them for spring. Denim jean being a versatile piece as an over the knee boot make them a great all year round pair. With extreme over the kneel boots like mine, shorts or short dresses and skirts would be ideal too. To get an extreme length or simply something that passes the knees is up to you. I have come to realise I prefer them extremely long though.
Every wardrobe can now do with a pair or two since its lost its stripper title. This singular piece of item has the ability to convey boldness and confidences. As involving as it has become, its still something most people consider a bit over the top for their personality. If thats you, then a simple plain pattern design or something plain would be a great way to start exploring this trend too. Go on, treat yourself to a fresh pair today!
